No worries about the server issue. Personally, no matter how the popup would look I’d prefer the Sezwho system without any popups at all. The popups and Who Am I links are what really caused me to remove SezWho from this blog, but I’m not 100% ruling out using it on other sites in the future.

Apologize for the issues with the servers on Saturday…We are moving to a new data center starting this weekend and we should not have similar problem again.

Also we are working on the redesign of the profile popup…

True Sherri, the best way to implement such functionality is to write the code yourself, but not everyone can program or has the time to learn. Hence these plugins become popular even though some of them were basically thrown together by a rookie. Not that I’m saying this is the case with Sezwho or that rookies can’t code, but rather the best method is to learn the programming language used on your site and then you’re able to truly know what’s going on with each new plugin.

I’m taking my own advice and slowly but surely learning.

A lot of these third party plug-ins come with too much nonsense to make them worthwhile

@Susan, True, I could insert the Sezwho code into my theme manually so that it loads last but, I just don’t think it’s worth it.

Here is why blogs are valuable, indeed. I thought about that Sezwho thing and have found nothing but negative posts about it.

Think I’ll keep that stuff far from my blog.

I took it down from my site too. The plugin just does not offer enough features to make it worth while. And I agree about the who am I link, it was pretty fricken annoying. Justins last blog post..New Theme - What Do You Think?
