“Objective:
This course is designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of the practice and theory of financial accounting at an intermediate level. Each topic will be covered along the following four dimensions: theoretical and practical motivation, accounting mechanics, business applications, and existing empirical research results.
Teaching Methods:
- 50% Lecture
- 30% Exercises and Problems
- 20% Cases
Material Covered:
- the three financial statements and their presentation
- the conceptual framework of accounting
- revenue recognition
- errors and changes
- detailed reporting for specific asset categories”
