Ronald Jenkees: A YouTube Musical Phenom

by Adam Pieniazek on May 29, 2007

in Music, Video

Check out Ron Jenkees’ intro for Bill Simmon’s podcast. This track is a banger. Ron does a great job of describing the track himself, “It’s got a real dirty sound, like a rusty steak knife cutting through a well aged steak.”

If Bill Simmon’s doesn’t use this for his podcast, I might just stop listening to him. Check it out below.

Jenkees also has another version of the song on his site, ronaldjenkees.com, give the mp3 a listen. Personally, I prefer the YouTube version but both versions seriously rock.

I’m here to spread the word…and the word is as follows: Ronald Jenkees is the single greatest thing that ever lived, be it animal, vegetable, or mineral. He’s simply that good.

I’ll agree with you, David, that Ronald Jenkees is “that good” but,

watermelons > Ronald Jenkees

it’s not really a contest…sorry buddy but watermelons are damn tasty and renewable, there’s only one Ronald Jenkees.

Umm…duh?

You know I never bothered to care whether Ronald Jenkees was “real” or not. To me, he was alive, producing music and playing into his persona. That’s real. Just because his real name is not Ronald Jenkees doesn’t make Ronald Jenkees fake.

Guess what, Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, Axel Rose, etc. are not real either. The music kicks ass and the persona is awesome. Get over it. If anything I give him even more credit now for creating awesome music and a captivating persona.

Well, the joke is on the haters. The fact is that Benjamin Feltes and the Big Cheez were the fake names. Ronald Jenkees is both his name and the stamp on his legend. The other monikers were for his act, but he finally decided to cut to the chase and make it real for people like me who’ve always scraped the frosting off cuz we just wanted the CAKE! And let’s face it: Ronald Jenkess is all cake, my friends.

I think he legally changed his name to B. Feltes, but who he is inside is what counts. It’s the little man inside that you have to address. What’s HIS name, that’s the question you should be asking. “Hey little man, what’s your name?” My friends, the answer both now and forever, stretching from that glorious point back eons ago in the mists of time itself, right up to the present day and stretching into the future as far as the eye can see? It’s Ronald Jenkees, that’s who.

Really, a guy like him should live a thousand years. We may never see the likes of him again.
